Wherther we´re singing simple melodies, or working on three or more part arrangements, choir singing is a wonderful shared experience.
In the choirs I direct I try to have an open approach to directing, there´s always people with genuine talent in every choir, so I welcome everyone to express their views on the repertoir, arrangements, etc.
I am also open to inviting intrument players, solo singers, etc, to share their talents. Another thing I do is to write my own arrangements, so as to adapt our repertoir to our level.
I don´t mind singing classical pieces, modern songs, or any style the choir members wish to explore. This includes incursions in theatre, poetry, and whatever the choir wishes to try. As you can see, experimentation, fun and hard work are the norm!
